Because of the rating change, the building is both on as well as in the land sited on the field and across the slope. One enters at the lower ground level or ascends a major exterior stair that returns to the field level of the foremost house. In this Luxury Gimelstob Residence, the living space is a double height, encapsulated rotunda, which is the central and centroid organizing space. It is iconic and sky lit, establishing the existence of the building on the site. On either side of the circulation gallery on the upper level is the library and master bedroom suite, both of which overlook the main living space. Luxury Gimelstob Residence also presents a “children’s house” which is expressed as its own wing. There are two levels of children’s bedrooms accessed by circulation galleries: the upper-level gallery opens to a main roof deck, facing south; the lover-level gallery overviews the gymnasium room. Beneath the lower level gallery and bedrooms is the game room.
